Surestream Academy’s fine run in the Peter Mutharika Southern Region Football League (SRFL) Division One continues as they have now shot to 37 points from 13 games at the weekend.

The academy side thumped Naming’omba 5-2 on Saturday in Naming’omba where their wonderkid and the league’s leading scorer Tony Biasi claimed a hat-trick, Chisomo Jackson and Edwin Carlos scored the other goals while Asani Asafi scored both goals for Naming’omba.

Blantyre ADD are now second with 25 points from 14 games. They lost 2-1 to Northern Stars on Saturday, but recovered to beat Naming’omba 2-1 the following day.

Luchenza Tea Stars are third on 23 points from 14 games. They drew 2-2 against Rays of Hope on Saturday, but their game against Hiras on Saturday was abandoned as they led 4-3.

Luchenza Tea were not awarded the game as the league is yet to get a report from the match officials to determine the way forward. Should they be awarded the game, they will climb to second position with 26 points.
